A cypress tree on a bluff overlooking Half Moon Bay (just south of San Francisco). Clouds drift by the luminous full moon through the twilight in shades of yellow, orange, magenta and purple, reflected in the water. This Northern California ocean seascape, from my Purple Twilight series, is an original oil painting on a gallery-wrapped stretched canvas (the 3/4" staple-free sides are finished off in purple acrylic) and can be hung with just a nail—no need to frame. The style can be described as Abstract Impressionism.
