Sunset from a Carmel Cypress Tree

A large cypress tree on the sand dunes of Carmel State Beach (on the Monterey Bay) overlooks a glorious sunset in shades of yellow, orange, magenta and purple. A lone seagull glides through a break in the clouds. This California ocean seascape, from my Purple Twilight series, is an original oil painting on a gallery-wrapped stretched canvas (the 3/4" staple-free sides are finished off in purple acrylic).
